Dr. Jiping Wang

Dr. Wang has extensive experience in both clinical and basic science researches in cancer prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Dr. Wang proposed 2 new gastrointestinal staging systems for colorectal cancer and gastric cancer. The proposed staging systems may provide more accurate estimation of patients’ prognosis, treatment decisions making; offer the common ground in comparing study results from different institutions nationally or internationally and accrue more homogenous patients into clinical trials. A novel tumor suppressor gene was found by Dr. Wang’s team and is under further investigation and validation.
